FELA! comes to Afrika Shrine

The cast and crew of Fela! Musical that has been making waves on Broadway and cinema houses across Europe and America will be in Afrika Shrine on April 14 for a live performance of the award winning show.
 
The Thursday April 14 show will kick off the series of shows lined up by the production crew of the musical which is making its debut in Nigeria, the birth place of the legendary Olufela Anikulapo Kuti--the creator of afrobeat music and Africa's greatest musical export.

Coming at you from Down Under is a very talented afrobeat band called The Liberators. Based in Sydney, Australia, the band has just released the video to their new song Rags to Riches. The video is a hilarious blaxploitation clip featuring all the usual suspects--a cigar-chomping crime boss in a white suit, several crazy-eyed henchmen, sexy divas with giant afros and of course, the rogue cop in his ubiquitous leather jacket.
